Make Your Own Bowls Project Event

Come and play with some clay and get creative as you learn from some of the best potters in the Centre Wellington area! Make as many bowls as you like, choose one to take home with you, and the rest will be donated to the Elora Empty Bowls Project as soup bowls to be filled with delicious soups made by local restaurants. Proceeds from the project will go to local hunger-fighting organizations.
 The fee is $30 and classes run two consecutive weekends. The first week you will learn basic pottery techniques and work with the clay to make your bowls. The next week you will learn how to finish and to glaze your own bowls. Last year the project raised over $17 500 for the Centre Wellington Food Bank, and helped establish a Breakfast Program at a local high school. We’re hoping to top that in 2011! Dates are April 30th & 7th, and again on May 28th and June 4th, all of which are located at Elora Centre for the Arts
